The parts of the article that speak of function are fine (the EPB is terribly dated and has crappy HVAC), but you're right... the idea of simply replacing buildings because they are ugly is absurd. There have been buildings torn down in the past few years (Seashore Hall), and those have been replaced by newer, and more architecturally pleasing buildings. I suspect that will continue... but I also do not want the University spending money bringing in Jeanne Gang or Adrian Smith... as awesome as their buildings are.
